PURA VIDA – a phrase that embodies the very best of Costa Rica, a true ode to life that invites us to reconnect with all living things. BLUE ZONE – refers to regions of the world where people live exceptionally long and healthy lives, often reaching or surpassing 100 years, with a low incidence of chronic diseases. Today, there are five such regions in the world, including Nosara, located in the Nicoya Peninsula of the Guanacaste province.

At Jawa Sanctuary, nature doesn’t simply surround the space — it is at the heart of the story. A story patiently planted, tree after tree, leaf after leaf, with the intention of creating a place that is truly alive, nourishing, and deeply connected to the land.As you wander through the paths, the scents of ginger and curcuma mingle with the freshness of lemongrass, lemon balm, and oregano, creating a rich sensory experience.
Aloe vera thrives under the tropical sun, a symbol of care and resilience, while coriander and other aromatic herbs quietly shape the spirit of the garden.Papaya trees and banana plants — tall, small, and abundant — offer their natural generosity, while mango, avocado, lime, and orange trees paint the landscape with vibrant, nourishing colors.
Grapefruit trees, starfruit, and dragon fruit reflect the lush, exotic richness of Costa Rica, as coconut palms gently watch over the sanctuary.
Further along, almond trees and water apple trees add to the diversity, grounding the space in balance and harmony. Every plant has found its place not by chance, but through a thoughtful listening to nature and its rhythms.

STUNNING VIEW
Beautiful place close to central Nosara. Casa Jawa exceeded our expectations. The description is as stated. Simple, beautiful, and in the jungle which allows you to be one with nature. Stunning views. We saw over 20 howler monkeys, birds, iguanas, etc. the home was clean and provided everything we needed. It was only 3 of us so the home was huge for what we needed (still great) but I highly recommend it if you have more than one family it would be ideal!

THE HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL
It’s on a gated and secured property but doesn’t seem like it at all. You cannot see any neighbors from the house and it’s really individual designed. We’ve loved everything about it. It has a beautiful pool, with a shallow area for the kids. There are two kitchens, a big one in the middle and one small one the ground floor. We saw howler monkeys in the tree right next to the house and the beach Playa Guiones is just a 5 minutes drive away and is amazing.
